Contributing to this site is open to all with an interest in the poets and poetry of the First World War or those whose interest, either through family links, curiosity or study, has been ignited by the centenary itself. We welcome family stories about and connections with poets and poetry, the significant events that shaped the war and the contribution that poetry made.
Why not put pen to paper and compose a poem of your own about the events and significance of the war? Perhaps there’s a link with someone in your family or the loss of young men from a single community that inspires you. Or if you are a teacher, feel free to submit your class’s work inspired by the war.
If you would like to submit material, whether it’s a poem, photograph or short note, please send brief details of your contribution via the Contact form. You can also submit audio files and video clips that are suitable for posting on the site.
We are proud to be part of the First World War Centenary partnership led by IWM.
